Traditional guru beads are used to end mala beads/prayer necklaces.

The top bead is about 10mm in size and features 3 holes - two holes on either side and a single, larger hole down the centre and out the bottom. 

Each end takes a side and both ends meet in the centre and out the bottom of the bead to create a clean, finished look for your piece.  A tassel, charm, stone or other adornment can be tied onto the bottom to complete your mala look.
